Fine Furnishings, based in Lindfield Enterprise Park, has long held an enviable reputation for being the place to have beautiful, bespoke pieces of furniture handmade to any exact specification. The team of skilled woodworkers can also reupholster any favourite piece of furniture already in your collection, but in need of a repair or modern twist.
However, husband and wife owners David and Clare Gorringe have recently added a whole new line to its display showroom. “We have been stocking wallpaper for a number of years,” Clare explained, “and customers have been saying that it’s a shame that we don’t sell more items of furniture – ‘to complete the room’. As a result, in the background we have been looking for a trusted supplier who’s build quality and design complements what we do.”
David is particular about what the units look and feel like. “We take great pride in creating perfect, bespoke furniture – so it’s important to us that it is well made. I admit, I was impressed with the dovetail joints! Whilst these are pre-made items – it is good, solid furniture.” There are a few ranges offering Shaker, Scandinavian and industrial styles, in a number of finishes including oak, pine and painted. Whether it’s to refresh the bedroom, living or dining room – Fine Furnishings can now help.
“We are in the process of adding pieces into our upstairs showroom,” Clare explained. “With bedside tables, coffee tables, chests and chairs – we have a number of lines now available to view (and touch) at our Lindfield premises, and we’re always happy for shoppers to come and take a look around.”
